ATHLETIC DEVELOPMENT AND PERFORMANCE CLASSES
At Forge Athletics and Recreation, our Homeschool Athletic Development Program is designed to provide homeschooled athletes with structured, age-appropriate athletic development training in a positive and engaging environment. This program emphasizes Long-Term Athletic Development (LTAD) principles through movement quality, coordination, speed mechanics, agility, balance, strength foundations, and power development — helping young athletes build the athletic foundation necessary for lifelong success in sport and health. Athletes will be able to choose between athletic development and skill development sessions based on their tier of membership.

What Athletes Will Develop
Our training focuses on age-appropriate athletic development, including:
-
Movement quality and body control
-
Speed and acceleration mechanics
-
Agility and change of direction
-
Balance and coordination
-
Strength foundations
-
Explosive power development
-
Injury resilience
-
Athletic confidence
Athletic Development + Sport Skill Development
Either as standalone sessions or combined with our athletic development programming, these skill development sessions balance the necessary components of movement proficiency into sport application on the field. For the sport skill development sessions, athletes will spend time working on multiple facets of the game in dedicated 1 hour sessions.
