DEVLIN GRANBERG

From Hudson, Colorado, Coach Devlin Granberg played collegiate baseball for two years at Dallas Baptist University. In 2018 season, he finished his season ranked in the top 10 nationally in six categories including No. 1 in hits (112), No. 2 in batting average (.443), No. 3 in on-base percentage (.541), No. 5 in runs scored (72) and OPS (1.221), and No. 10 in RBI (70), leading to becoming a unanimous First Team All-American from Perfect Game and Collegiate Baseball, and Second Team All-American by Baseball America. Along with being named the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year, he was selected as the Most Outstanding Player in the Fayetteville Regional after hitting .667 (12-for-18).  He was also recognized as the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-America Player of the Year and won this year's Bobby Bragan Collegiate Slugger Award, given to the top hitter in the state of Texas.

At the end of the 2018 season,  Coach Granberg was drafted in the 6th round of the 2018 MLB draft by the Boston Red Sox, where he played a total of five seasons, ending at the AAA level. During his final season, he suffered an injury that led him to decide to retire and return to the college ranks as DBU’s Director of Hitting Development. His time at DBU and his injury built to his interest and the development of a passion for human movement and the path to creating better and more resilient athletes. 


Coach Granberg holds his Masters Degree in Kinesiology from Dallas Baptist University and is studying for his Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCS) certification at this time.
